All the persons, characters, places, events, facts & figures depicted & compiled in this article are purely based on real life incidences. Any resemblance to any of such persons, characters, places, events, facts & figures whether living or fictional has to be purely coincidental!..
Going by the disclaimer, to begin directly with the preface of this yet another articulate creation; some time back, had read somewhere in management that ‘there is a place for everything & likewise everything has to have a place’; to add to it, there’s also a name for each such place; be it by characteristic appearance, rituals & traditions followed, direction & time wise, geographical density, climatic conditions, pre conceived notions etc.
At this very ‘place’, again taking an exuberant chance to explore & describe about one such ‘place’; for most of the others, it could undoubtedly be ‘a place far away from home’; a ‘Second Home’ for a few; while for some others it could be just a ‘place’ in a 3 storeyed building. The official name of this building (where the story takes ‘place’, or more precisely ‘repeats’) is ‘Rajgadh’ (राजगढ); & it also has couple of cousins christened as ‘Krishna’ (कृष्णा) & ‘Savitri’ (सावित्री). To complete the family structure; they too have more than a couple of educational buildings in the nearby vicinity & also couple of distant niece buildings wherein the whole of the food stuffs preparation & serving takes ‘place’; again officially named as Bakers Pride, Coffee juice center, chotaa canteen, cafeteria; ‘Amrapali’ (आम्रपाली) & ‘Annapurna’ (अन्नपूर्णा).
So getting back to ‘Rajgadh’; a ‘place’ equipped with more than couple of dozen rooms, water coolers, guest rooms etc. The impact of death of a device was such that the so called ‘source of entertainment & leisure time’ through TV rooms was literally swiped away without leaving any traces of evidence of existence.
By far now, more than dozen full of months had passed by; having cherished for less than a year or so; most of the rooms had turned into flats, private hostel accommodations & luxurious furnished rooms. Just like an amateur bird is kicked off from the nest (intentionally or otherwise); so as to faceoff & struggle & also survive against the odds in best possible manner.
Well, less than a year or so, had been to one such place tagged as ‘fenced freedom’. With the season of sequel of sequels flooding in & out; probably attempting some kindda ‘sequel’ of that place….a ‘place’ where there was a ‘fence’ & ‘freedom’ too; or rather a ‘place’ with a ‘fenced freedom’!!...& yet tagging the same ‘place’ as ‘fenced hell’.
It was merely just like sailing by the waves in the broken dwindling cruise ship (here sailing by a boat would have been smaller in size, appearance, budget etc; so conveniently sailing by the rented cruise ship equipped with all splendid luxuries).
The messy foodstuffs at ‘Amrapali’; bakery & cafeteria; seemed to be tempting restricted for the menu only; otherwise battling for bit extra & scrapping the menu at times would serve the purpose most of the times to fill the tummies. Presumably with the improving quality of messy stuffs, the last minute entering & gulping down timelessly; was indigestible with the vacant table & dozen full chairs around.
The ‘ fenced freedom’ had by all means; provoked a sense of being all alone & independent by & large with unusual vibes; while the action packed activities in the ‘three lettered word’; were ensuring to run behind time to meet up with scheduled lectures, sessions, seminars, assignments & projects compilations & viva voce etc. Having adjusted & adapted to such a ‘place’; where it had a fence & a freedom too; yet the other chapter revealed the other side of the same ‘place’ engulfed with ‘fenced freedom’.
Most of the times; some had to struggle & battle for catching up with mobile network & frequencies & most importantly wifi connections & also experimenting to unblock the settings for social networking sites etc. Untimely wandering the long stretched corridors & also the late evening music therapy at rajpath to glance at the stars; were beyond descriptions to revolve thoughts around on anything & everything. Even the vultures in the ‘fenced hell’ were hovering on the long stretched rajpath; just for pouncing on the ‘creatures from venus’.
Also the fireworks & crackers busted without any occasions or festive celebrations, especially at untimely frequencies & intervals were blasting the sound sleep (of security guards & others as well). Unusually this ‘place’ was witnessing & experiencing colorless holi & pollution & sound proof diwali again; so needless to think about other festive occasions filled in most of the calendar dates throughout the year. In the meanwhile, the CEO was just shuffled for some unknown reasons.
The exam fever was yet another tension filled occasion; which turned most of the rooms in to libraries; late night studies & last night hassle preparations, searching for cornered corridors for the sake of studies & pin drop silence.
At times, the touch resistant shocks & untimely beeps from water cooler would give bizarre signals & also solar water heaters boiling beyond 90 degrees would literally burnout the buckets & consume ample time to cool down the temperature. The so called haunted stories, screaming in the fullest volume in the dark when lights were flicked of, bizarre birthday celebrations at the very stroke of midnight.
The equation that could very well suite was the number of stays availed in the ‘fenced freedom’ were directly proportional to the number of night outs availed in the ‘fenced hell’. The golden midway was just camping at specific hangouts; which were blessed second homes. The struggle & daily exercise of conserving the resourceful water in less than an hour’s time, optimizing the units of electricity consumed by gadgets & devices such as induction, heater, electronic rods, toaster, speakers & woofers; & most importantly the ‘food’ to be gulped down for the sake of survival, were seamlessly the highly nutrient junk foodstuffs, midnight tea & breakfast etc.
Ironically, when the ‘fenced freedom’ used to be flooded with fellow colleagues; the library & reading hall seemed to be calm & composed with empty chairs & tables; & with the ‘haunted hell’; the same library & reading hall would be flooded most of the times with the same fellow colleagues.
The only soothing place for midnight studies was unexpectedly taken over & sealed by the laundry space, shifted in the corridors terrace. Interestingly, the other side of freedom was not so torturing; with the instinctive ideology of at times changing the ‘rubber band’; was far much better than the option of loosening & stretching the same ‘rubber band’ in countless times & ways. Distressingly, the corridors were filled with smoke all around, with smoky injurious air hovering like black ash filled clouds & also crackers were bursting like blasts every alternate midnight. With the characters changed & shuffled upside down & destined with witnessing the events & incidences, in nostalgic sense.
Reliving the moments as if going back in the timeline; as if a ‘place’; which had closely witnessed the making of ‘odds & crowds’; leading to ‘king of loneliness’; & ‘confronting confessions’. On similar lines; feeling weak & exhausted from inside; would very well serve the purpose of being strong from outside!!..
With irregular intervals & spurring impulsive moments to breakdown the walls & iron bars; just to breathe a ray of light; whereby escaping the prison bars was far more easier than to bail out or simply file on a temporary custody or remand home or rehabilitation.
It was just like a white little mouse was merely urging & pleading a black fat cat until now; to rescue & safeguard from the conspiracies, trap & defend against the street rats; just to secure a piece of cheese & a ‘peaceful place’ as always. Fortunately or may be unfortunately & even intentionally or may be unintentionally; & with related or even unrelated permutations & combinations; the ‘hell down under place’ was simply haunted like hell….a ‘fenced hell’ for that ‘nadaan parindey’ in true sense.
